March 2007 - The Otter Side Moves West!

We have moved from the Texas Hill Country to Andrews, Texas, in the heart of the Permian Basin oil fields, where the Great Plains from the north meet the Chihuahuan Desert from the south.

May 2007 - Following the Spring Migration North with the Birds

Erik started on the upper Texas coast with the annual songbird migration and then followed shorebirds (his favorite birds) north to central Kansas.

The highlight of the trip was the thousands of Wilson's Phalaropes staging at Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area and Quivira NWR.

August 2007 - Hummingbirds of Southeast Arizona
