It's that time of year again, when birders spend all day counting (or at least looking for) birds for the annual Christmas Bird Counts. This year we had three days rain followed by two days of cold, dry weather before the count. The early morning was a little uncomfortable (cold and damp), but the afternoon was warm and sunny.

It's that time of year again, when birders spend all day counting (or at least looking for) birds for the annual Christmas Bird Counts. This year was exceedingly "damp" due to three days of rain before the count, which kept many birds out of sight.

  • Cooper's Hawk
  • Audubon's Oriole
  • American White Pelican
